Dawn H., COO
Born and raised in Northern California, I was fortunate to have the chance to develop many hobbies.
At an early age I developed a love for cooking, I very much enjoy the outdoors with snow skiing in the winter to water skiing in the summer and camping in between.
During that time I also discovered that I was very interested in technology and computers so in an effort combine my many interests and hobbies and pursue a college education I chose to attend school at the University of California, Sacramento.
I graduated in 1992 with a BA in MIS. Upon graduation I landed a job at a start up company where I met my future husband and got married in 1997.
A year later another opportunity was presented to both of us for a new company in Colorado. Given our love for the outdoors and new adventures we decided to head east and moved to Broomfield Colorado in 1998.
In 2001 we began our family and now we have three beautiful children ages 9, 6 and 4.
Since being in Colorado I have met some great people and have had the chance to rediscover my love for cooking.
Between our camping trips with friends and family, BBQs and parties through out the year I love planning and shopping for those events, but quickly realized that I needed an easier more organized way to do this.
So in a conversation with some friends on how to easily plan a Thanksgiving dinner FoodGizmo was born in 2008. Today I manage my family, my job and continue to work with a great team and further enhance foodGizmo.

Beth G., CFO
Beth is the foodGizmo Finance foodie. She was born and raised in Central Kansas on a small dairy farm.
She received her BA in Accounting from KSU and her MBA from CU.
Beth's love for fresh homemade dishes was cultivated from an early age by her fraternal Grandmother's country-style home cooking and her paternal Grandfather's ability to make the most simple or outrageous item into an amazing meal.
These days she strives to find the balance with work, motherhood and life's demands.
foodGizmo is a pinnacle element in achieving this balance as planning and preparing healthy meals for her family in turn results in more quality family time.

Rob C., CIO
A passion for cooking and more than 15 years of IT experience allows Rob to bring a unique perspective to foodGizmo.com. Exposure to many different foods and cultures in HI; Rob developed a passion for all things food, be it cooking, serving, or simply as a means to promote gatherings for friends and family.
While the Internet provides a wealth of recipe sites, Rob quickly became frustrated having to bookmark recipes from many different sites and having no “gizmos” to mange or share recipes with friends and family. Knowing he was not alone, and venting to friends one day, the concept of FoodGizmo.com was born.
As they say, “the rest is history!”

The idea of foodGizmo began on a fall day close to Thanksgiving 2007. While putting a Thanksgiving day menu together it dawned on us, a group of 4 who really enjoy
cooking, that there wasn’t a single place where we could go to quickly and easily search for our favorite recipes. Every year, we go through the long process of remembering
where (i.e. website or email) we had stored our favorite turkey or cranberry recipe. To make things more complicated, if we were lucky enough to find these recipes,
we had to print them, organize them and then create a menu and compile a grocery list.
Recognizing these difficulties, we realized that there was a significant gap in the online recipe world. We determined that a solution to the "where is my recipe" dilemma needed to be developed. And, as luck would have it, we all had a love of cooking and considerable IT experience. From this sprang, foodGizmo.
As we were talking about how to solve this problem, the ideas started to flow.
What if we could bring the recipe sites together? Create a recipe search engine. Why not provide features, or gizmos, where users will have one website to search, manage, organize and share their favorite recipes, plan menus, create editable and printable grocery lists, and so on and so on? Even as this website becomes reality, we continue to come up with more ‘gizmos’ to add to the site that will further enhance your experience.
So, what started with two of us brainstorming one day, quickly grew into three,
and then four members. And that is who we are today -- the 4 Gizmos, a.k.a the 4G's. This site has been built with the creativity and determination of the 4G's. It is our labor of love, as the four of us have not only enjoyed the creative and technical
aspects of building this website, but also enjoy cooking, and even more, enjoy eating!
We hope you enjoy our site as much as we have enjoyed bringing it to life.
